MUSIC maestro AR Rahman will be giving fans a taster of what to expect from his world tour when he performs on April 7 at London’s Southbank Centre. The night will feature some of his most famous works including suits from Slumdog Millionaire and Elizabeth: The Golden age which will be performed by The London Philharmonic Orchestra as part of the Southbank’s Alchemy Festival. It will be his first concert in London since winning the Academy Awards for Best Song and Best Score for Slumdog Millionaire in 2009. After that, Rahman will be gearing up for a major international tour, ‘AR Rahman’s Jai Ho: The Journey Home World Tour’ which kicks off on June 11 and goes to 20 cities across the world including Toronto, Paris, Glasgow, Manchester and London. It is expected to offer a unique concert experience which will combine Rahman’s greatest compositions with exciting new technology, changing sets and powerful dance and acrobatics.
